Rainer Goy fulfilled himself a dream. Not as a chef de cuisine at a high-class restaurant, but as an innkeeper and cook at an idyllically located hotel restaurant within the Kitzbüheler Alps. The new and old chef de cuisine do not have much in common. In the past, Rainer Goy worked at the hotel "zur Tenne" as chef de cuisine, and since 2008 he works at the Hubertus Stub'n at the Brixental together with his wife Gabriella.
 
During his wandering years, Rainer Goy worked at legendary high-class restaurants such as the restaurant La Mer in Hamburg or the restaurant Le Gourmet in Munich as well as the Hotel Bayerischer Hof in Munich. During his time in Kitzbühel, he gathered his final tipps and tricks from the famous Hasi Unterberger.
  
What is more, Rainer Goy is a very sociable character, not at all introverted or withdrawn. An open-hearted person who knows how to enjoy life and who conveys the feeling that everybody is a long-time friend of his - even when he has just met him/her. That is why it does not come as a surprise that everybody wants to get to know his Hubertus Stub'n.
