Brixen im Thale - close-by Kitzbühel... -

In contrast to many other alpine valleys, the Brixen valley does not end in the top of the valley, but is open on both ends. It connects the Inn valley towards the West with the region of Kitzbühel towards the East.

The "grass mountains" of the Brixen valley are embedded within the rock walls of the Wilder Kaiser mountain range and the ice panorama of the Hohe Tauern mountain range. The ice age glaciers have shaped the valley into its actual "bowl" form and have formed the ancient mountain stones into an ideal skiing region and hiking area.
